The “Base” ECDL Base certificate indicates the person’s fundamental degree of digital literacy. It is divided into four modules: word processing, spreadsheet computations, internet usage, and basic computer usage. The information and abilities that every person should have in today’s world are covered by these 4 areas. This certificate is equivalent to the one that was previously used under the ECDL Start brand. Concepts and related skills pertaining to device use, file creation and administration, networks, and data security are covered in Module 1 of Computer Essentials.
The ECDL BASE certificate guarantees that the candidate is fully competent to use a personal computer and work with the applications specified in the certificate being taken.
