UI/UX Fundamentals

About The Course

If you want to learn how to use UI/UX you are more than welcome to join us. The course duration is 15 weeks in which will be held 30 classes. Duration of the class is 45 min. Weekly is planed to be held one block of two classes with duration of 45 min. Classes are separated with 15 min break.  The course schedule can be crashed up to 7 weeks in which will be conducted two block classes weekly. Lectures can be held online or on site depending of student needs. Online lectures will be held in the same timing with the one held physically in the classroom.

Introduction to UI/UX

  • Week 1

Understand User Needs, Conduct Interviews, Analyze User Behavior Data.
User Research

Organizing and structuring content to enhance navigation; Sitemaps – visual representation of a website’s structure; User flows – paths users take to achieve their goals; Wireframing – process of creating low-fidelity layouts.
Information Architecture

Designing interactive elements that facilitate smooth user interactions. Understand Gestalt principles and visual perception; PACT design – Person, Activity, Technology, Context; Transitions – animations that contribute to the overall usability.
Interaction Design

Aesthetics and visual aspects of a product; Color theory, color psychology; Typography – choosing fonts and arranging text; Layout and composition principles.
Visual Design

From sketch to complete prototype. Prototypes on paper; Digital Prototypes. Storyboard, Wizard-of-Oz technique.
Prototyping

Types of Errors; Dialogs in the design; Re-do, undo of actions.
Intercepting / Resolving Errors

Make digital products usable by people with disabilities; WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) Inclusive design for all users.
Accesibility Design

Interfaces optimized for smaller screens and touch interaction; Responsive design – the design adapts to different screen sizes; Mobile-specific considerations including prioritizing content, touch interaction.
Mobile and Responsive design

Usability Testing and Design
Observing and analyzing user interactions with a design; Heuristic evaluation - systematic inspection of a design’s usability; Usability tests, A/B testing.

HTML/ CSS / JavaScript

UI / UX tools
Design software - Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD; Prototyping tools - InVision, Marvel, Framer; Version control - Zeplin, Abstract tool.
